Bank of England Warns Brexit

Beginning July 1, 2016, the bank that processes EFT payments for the Board of Equalization (BOE) will change from Citibank to MUFG Union Bank, N.A. (Union Bank). Also, the EFT payment processor will change from Fidelity National Information Services, LLC to First Data Government Solutions, LP (First Data).

How will I be notified?

BOE will send you a letter or email notification, based on your account type, with the appropriate information to make the changes. You may receive multiple letters or emails depending on the different type of accounts you have.

What if I have multiple EFT accounts?

You must update each EFT account with the new information.

How will the change affect the BOE's online filing system?

If you use the BOE's online filing system to file your return and make your payment, no change is required on your part.

How will the change affect the BOE's online payment system?

If you use the BOE's online payment system to make your payment, no change is required on your part.

What if I make ACH Debit payments through the EFT payment processor?

Internet payments:

  • You will need to create a web account and password. The website will guide you through this process.
  • The username is your BOE account number.
  • The security code will remain the same.

Telephone payments:

  • You will use your current BOE account number and your current security code.

Bulk filer:

  • You will need to register with the new payment processor.

How am I affected if I pay by ACH Credit?

Payments made to the incorrect bank for settlement on or after July 1, 2016, will be returned and may be subject to penalty and interest charges. In addition, any payments to Union Bank prior to July 1, 2016, will also be returned and may be subject to penalty and interest changes.

You should receive notification from the BOE on the new banking and routing information. If you do not receive notification, please contact the following:
