Museums at Night at the Bank

Bank of London Museum

Following a six month closure in 2014, a newly refurbished IWM has opened its doors to the public once again with a host of exciting events and exhibits.

For the Centenary of the First World War in July 2014, IWM London has been transformed, with ground-breaking new First World War Galleries and a newly configured atrium displaying the iconic large objects collection.

IWM is home to many free exhibitions making it one of the best and informative museums in London adding to the capitals world famous institutions.

The museum takes residence in what was formerly the central portion of Bethlem Royal Hospital, or ‘Bedlam’, and still retains much of its original features.

Imperial War Museum is a family of five museums: IWM London; IWM North in Trafford, Greater Manchester; IWM Duxford near Cambridge; the Churchill War Rooms in Whitehall, London; and the historic ship HMS Belfast, moored in the Pool of London on the River Thames.
